Production Description
Flat Tempered Glass (also called toughened glass,full tempered glass,TF for short) is a type of glass with even compressive stress on the surface which is processed by heating float glass to nearly soften point and then cooling it down rapidly by air. During the instant cooling process, the exterior of glass is solidified due to rapid cooling while the interior of glass is cooled down relatively slowly, This process will bring the glass surface compressive stress and the interior tensile stress which can improve the mechanical strength of glass by germination and result in good thermal stability.

BTG BETTER GLASS produce laminated glass by high quality adhesive interlayer and advanced bond technology. Tempered laminatedglass is produced by adhering two or more pieces of tempered glass together by inyerlayer film like PVB/SGP/EVA. The interlayerfilm will continue to hold the glass together in the event that it is struck or dropped.

Wooden crates packing option
BTG use 12mm thick recycled hardwood board, no fumigation, hard plastic safety corner,plastic film covering the glass to avoid dirt, with a desiccant inside, to ensure that the glass is dry and not moldy during transportation.

Q: How do you control the quality of your products?

What is tempered glass?
Tempered glass is to cut ordinary glass into the required size, and then heat it to about 700 degrees close to the softening point, and then perform rapid and uniform cooling (usually 5-6MM glass is heated at 700 degrees for about 240 seconds, and cooled for about 150 seconds. 8 -10MM glass is heated at 700 degrees for about 500 seconds and cooled for about 300 seconds. In short, the heating and cooling time varies according to the thickness of the glass).

The tempered glass is not easy to broken. Even it’s broken, the glass shards are small obtuse particles, which will not cause significant harm to human body.

The strength of tempered glass is 4 times or more than float glass when they are in the same thickness.

The flexibility of the tempered glass is 3-4 times more than float glass.

4. Heat stability
The heat stability of tempered glass is 2.5-3 times more than float glass. The heat stability of the tempered glass is about 200℃.
